Activator Gel

Our Activator Gel works best when rubbed onto the skin after using our Beard Roller. It contains the bio-active ingredient biotin, and the action of the Beard Roller creates mini-channels on the skin that allow the Gel to be absorbed deeply.

Beard Comb

Small enough to fit in your pocket, the beard comb can be used during your daily beard care ritual or on-the-go. Using it regularly can prevent ingrown hairs by stopping newly grown hair from curling back and growing under the skin. Sanitiser

How do I use the Kit?

Each accessory and treatment included in the Beard Growth Kit plays a specific role in your beard care routine, so it’s a good idea to understand how (and when) to use each one for the best beard growth results.

A quick guide on how to use the Beard Growth Kit

Activator Gel: work the Gel into your beard after Medicated Hair Spray has been absorbed (it usually takes about 15 minutes for Medicated Hair Spray to be completely absorbed into the skin). Do this every time you apply Medicated Hair Spray. Activator Gel should be used every day and can be used on the same days as the Beard Roller.
Sanitiser: spray the whole head of the Beard Roller to disinfect it before rolling it on your beard.
Beard Roller: use twice a week. Roll the Beard Roller gently back and forth on the skin around 10 times in horizontal, vertical, and diagonal movements.
Beard Comb: use daily to style, shape, and groom your beard.

How to use each component of the Beard Growth Kit

Beard Roller

We recommend using the Beard Roller once a week to start with, but you may use it twice a week once your skin adapts to the treatment.

To use the Beard Roller:

Sterilize the head of the Beard Roller using the Sanitiser provided with the Kit.
Gently apply pressure and roll the Beard Roller across the areas of the beard you want to grow. Roll the Beard Roller gently back and forth on the skin around 10 times in horizontal, vertical, and diagonal movements.
Wash the Beard Roller with warm (not boiling) water, dry it with a paper towel, and store it in a cool, dry place.

Do not use the Beard Roller more than twice a week, and avoid using it on consecutive days (i.e. do not use it two days in a row). You should space out your rolling sessions throughout the week to allow your skin to properly repair.

Sanitiser

Spray the Sanitiser 2-3 times evenly onto the head of the Beard Roller to disinfect it before use.

Activator Gel

Apply 2 pumps of Activator Gel onto your face and rub it in until it’s absorbed. Activator Gel should be used daily.

On beard rolling days, Activator Gel should be applied to the beard after using the Beard Roller.

Beard Comb

The Beard Comb can be used whenever you wish to style and look after your beard. We recommend using it daily to prevent ingrown hairs, remove any dead or flaky skin, and keep your beard looking well-groomed.

How hard are you supposed to press when using the Beard Roller?

You should only apply gentle pressure to the areas of the beard you want to target to avoid piercing the skin too deeply. When used properly, the Beard Roller should not be painful to use.

You may experience redness in the areas that have been rolled over, but this is normal. This happens because the needles on the Beard Roller create micro-punctures on the surface of the skin which trigger the body’s natural healing process and increase blood flow to the skin - giving it a reddish appearance.

Any redness should disappear within one to two days. Once the skin has completely healed, you can use the Roller again. We recommend using the Beard Roller once a week to start with, but you may use it twice a week once your skin adapts to the treatment.

Instead, you should use specialised beard shampoo. Not only does it help to maintain the natural oils that keep your beard vibrant and healthy, but it can also help to soothe itching (which is common when growing a beard) by nurturing the skin beneath it.

Don’t wash your beard every day: once or twice a week is enough. This will help to preserve the natural oils in your beard that keep it smooth.
Don’t use regular shampoo or soap on your beard: doing so can make your beard dry and cause skin flaking/dandruff. Instead, use a specialist beard shampoo that protects your skin and natural beard oils.
Use beard oil: beard oil helps to keep your beard and skin moisturised. It complements the natural oils produced by your body to keep your beard hydrated, healthy-looking, and soft.
